Welcome to The Guidance Department
The guidance counselors at Deer Park High School are dedicated to helping each student be successful academically and achieving his or her maximum potential. The guidance counselors play many roles in the success of the students of Deer Park. Those roles include, but are not limited to:
· Helping students with the transition from the middle school.
· Working with the students as they continue to grow socially, emotionally and academically.
· Acting as a liaison between the teachers and the parents.
· Monitoring the students’ progress in individual classes.
· Monitoring students’ progress in meeting the NYS graduation requirements.
· Helping students from beginning to end of the college search process.
