Principal's Message

Welcome to Our School!

The Abraham Lincoln School is a special community of learners.  With our two very important programs, we serve both the beginning and commencement of education for Deer Park students.  It is my honor to be leading this unique building's faculty, staff and students.  My staff and I promise to work our hardest to challenge your child to succeed in every aspect of their continued growth and development.

With all the educational jargon and fads that have come and gone, one truth remains constant: Children vary widely in their developmental strengths and weaknesses, and this variation has powerful implications for educating our children. I believe in the unique attributes of each child and meeting the needs of each child within the educational system.   I wholeheartedly believe that “all children can learn”, but their academic success is the result of cumulative efforts between the school as well as those of the home.  A child’s instructional experience, although initiated and guided in the classroom, is nurtured and sustained at home.  I believe in the capacity of highly trained and effective educators to ensure our children are well prepared to meet the ever-changing challenges of the future.

The ongoing partnership between the home, the school, and the learner is a crucial element leading to student success. I encourage Abraham Lincoln parents to become as involved in our school as possible - attend PFC meetings, join the Site Based Management Team, bring your family to PFC family events and stay in touch with us at the school.  Good communication is an essential tool in education, so I invite you to email me or any member of my staff with questions, suggestions, or concerns at any time.  The easiest way to reach me is by email:  criscione.c@deerparkschools.org.

I look forward to a wonderful year!

Sincerely,

Christine Criscione, Ed.D.
