Principal's Message

As the principal of Deer Park High School, I am proud of the experience the students get while in our building.  We have a tremendously dedicated staff that see the students as individuals and understand that each of them has the potential for greatness.  They work tirelessly to help bring out that greatness, whether it is in the classroom, in a concert, on the stage, in a sport.  But most importantly they help bring out the greatness in the students as people.  We want our students to understand the importance of scholarship, citizenship, and integrity. 

The staff at Deer Park High School is committed to providing our students with the best education possible.  Our collective missions are to: 

• Provide a safe environment conducive to learning where students feel their different ideas and beliefs are valued.

• Provide professional and quality instruction to promote academic excellence and creativity in the student body, and to prepare students to meet the academic and personal challenges in their future.

• Help students become tolerant individuals who view the world & others with open minds.

• Prepare students to be functional and mature participants in American society and the world at large, as well as to take pride in themselves and the community, exhibit responsibility for themselves and each other, and to be informed and engaged citizens.

• Help students grow emotionally and socially through mutual respect, understanding, self-awareness, effective communication, morale-building, and teamwork.

I promise that each and every day, I will work to ensure that everything we do helps us achieve these missions.
