Deer Park High School business teacher Jill Perry-Eising was recently commended as a Harvard Club of Long Island Distinguished Teacher. To honor outstanding Long Island teachers, the HCLI asked current Harvard University undergraduates to nominate the teachers in grades 7 through 12 who made the greatest difference to their lives. Perry-Eising was nominated by her former student, Class of 2022 salutatorian Saima Hoque, who is currently a freshman at Harvard, majoring in molecular and cellular biology and interning for the United Nations.
