New York State’s Sex Offender Registration Act (SORA), commonly referred to as “Megan’s Law,” requires the registration of certain individuals convicted of sex offenses and provides public access to limited information in order to enhance community safety. This page explains how the district shares official notices, where to find authoritative information, and what parents and guardians should know.
