Facilities & Grounds Committee

To maintain and improve the quality of our infrastructure to promote a greater learning environment for our constituents. This committee meets to determine where our available capital funds can best be utilized. We examine all of our buildings and the grounds that encompass them. We forecast our project needs and we get the projects off the waiting lists and into the hands of the contractors that physically do the work. Updates are provided from our maintenance foreman and from our assistant superintendent for business. Our underlying goal is our mission statement, "To maintain and improve the quality of our infrastructure to promote a greater learning environment for our constituents."

Our main objective is to support our school district in its safety & health needs while maintaining strict adherence to all Federal, State and Local Rules, Regulations and Standards.
Our committee consists of teachers, administrators, safety professionals and community members whose role is to assist staff in highlighting and addressing safety and health improvements districtwide. All concerns, suggestions and/or ideas shall be brought to the attention of the Board of Education and Superintendent of Schools for their review.

The Diversity & Inclusion Committee is a committee made up of Board members, Administrators, teachers, and members of the Deer Park Community at-large. Deer Park is a very diverse community filled with people of unique backgrounds and cultures. In building towards a "ONE DEER PARK" mantra, we take pride in knowing that our collective differences make us a stronger community. This committee is an inclusive group and seeks to reflect the ideas and values of all members of the community, regardless of race, color, religion, gender, nationality, gender expression, national origin, disability, marital status, sexual orientation, or age.

To shape the way technology is implemented in the Deer Park School system. Technology is not only a tool that will help students learn, but also a skill that students should have a grasp on upon graduating from our schools.
