Kindergartners in Laura Oddo and Marcella Biordi’s class at Deer Park’s John Quincy Adams Primary School recently painted a vibrant mural with sidewalk chalk in honor of Memorial Day. After immersing themselves in the history and significance of the holiday, the students worked with art teacher Samantha Racano to collaboratively create a memorable outdoor artwork to honor and remember those that have served the nation.
