Robert Frost Middle School students in English as a New Language teacher Christy Villalobos’ class paid a special gingerbread-themed holiday visit to younger ENL students at John Quincy Adams Primary School on Dec. 13. The first graders and second graders had a wonderful time reading Jan Brett’s classic “Gingerbread Baby,” creating a gingerbread craft and working alongside their new friends from Robert Frost.

“This experience not only allowed the younger students to practice their language skills, but also helped them build meaningful connections with peers,” JQA ENL teacher Maria Cacoperdo said. “We have so many students who are from the same countries or speak the same languages, and giving them the opportunity to share and connect is such an incredible experience. We love this yearly tradition and hope it continues throughout the future.”
