Deer Park High School recently honored the December Students of the Month: Alishba Syed was named Scholar of the Month and Masum Rifat was named Citizen of the Month. Both students have exemplified outstanding qualities that contribute to our school community.

Syed has been recognized for her outstanding academic achievements and leadership. As her nominating teacher said, “Alishba has been taking initiative and is a positive role model.”

Rifat exemplifies kindness and respect. His teacher said, "Masum's polite demeanor and work ethic make him an ideal candidate for this award.”

"Join us in celebrating these remarkable students," Associate Principal for Guidance and Support Services Dr. Dina Pannone said. "Let's give them a round of applause!”
 
Scholar of the Month honors students who demonstrate exceptional academic achievement, a strong commitment to their studies and a passion for learning, while Citizen of the Month recognizes students who exhibit outstanding character, leadership qualities and a commitment to making a positive impact on our school community and beyond.
