Students at all three of Deer Park’s elementary schools honored the memory of 9/11 by planting American flags in front of the schools for Patriot Day, with John F. Kennedy Intermediate School and John Quincy Adams Primary School participating on Sept. 11 and May Moore Primary School on Sept. 12.

“We were proud to celebrate Patriot Day at May Moore with our annual flag-planting,” Principal Tammy Alcalde said. “Our students sported red, white and blue and honored those we lost on Sept. 11.”
