Under the leadership of Associate Principal Kimberly Essig, Deer Park’s May Moore Primary School proudly participated in World Kindness Day on Nov. 13. Every year on this day, the world comes together to celebrate the power of kindness – a global reminder that small acts of compassion can create a ripple effect, bringing us closer to one another and strengthening community bonds.
May Moore embraced the spirit of the day by completing the School Kindness Challenge, an initiative that encourages schools to practice kindness in various ways. Students and staff worked together on a variety of activities that promoted kindness, empathy and positive connections, earning May Moore the designation of a Certified Kindness School.
“In a time when the world can often feel divided, our school is committed to fostering an environment where kindness flourishes,” Essig said. “We are proud to be part of a global movement that emphasizes the importance of compassion, understanding and unity. Thank you to our incredible school community for making this day a memorable celebration of kindness. Let’s continue to carry this spirit of kindness with us every day.”
