The accomplishments of Deer Park High School’s spring 2024 student-athletes were recognized at the school’s annual spring varsity sports awards night on June 4, hosted by Athletic Director Dominick Fontana. Members of 10 teams – Unified bowling, Unified basketball, girls golf, boys lacrosse, girls lacrosse, girls flag football, baseball, softball, boys spring track and girls spring track – were presented with certificates and plaques recognizing Most Valuable Player awards, Coaches Awards, Spirit Awards and Scholar-Athlete awards.

“Without your hard work and dedication, we really have no chance of succeeding,” Fontana said to the students. “A lot of sacrifices are made every day to be a high school athlete and it is very much appreciated.”
